It is the vision of the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services that all Alabamians who are deaf, hard of hearing, or late deafened and their families can achieve their maximum or chosen level of independence and work to provide the quality of life they want for themselves and their families. The Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services is uniquely positioned to develop a true continuum of services to Alabama's children and adults who are deaf, hard of hearing, or late deafened. Through the development of a statewide strategic plan for services to these individuals, the vision of Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services for services to this population can be achieved.
